This experience has been leveraged in the design of the 28” Raptor SQ2801 2k x 2k LCD main display for ATC controller work positions. The SONY DDM 2800 28 inch CRT has been the dominant display of choice for many years for ATC controller workstation positions within the vast majority of ANS control centres throughout the world. A change of technology has taken place LCD-based systems, which are suitable for the very demanding air traffic safety application, now offer an alternative to CRTs. EIZO Technologies Raptor SQ2801 has been designed as a 100% compatible drop in replacement for the SONY 2800 DDM analogue monitor. For totally new installations, the Raptor SQ2801 is also equipped with two industry standard Dual Link DVI digital interfaces. This provides compatibility with the latest digital graphics cards from leading manufacturers such as Matrox, NVidia, ATI and Tech Source.
