DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung eg-electronic was awarded a contract by DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS - German Flight Control) in July 2004 for supply of over 150 FD2K-2824-C displays. These are in operation at The DFS in central and peripheral test systems for P1 / ATCAS as well as in training and development simulators at DFS. There are a further 80 displays installed in Karlsruhe in CWP-positions for the new ATC “Vaforit” system and these will be used during the next 1 ˝ years for extensive certification, integration and training purposes before they are finally installed by the end of 2006 for operational use. DFS has since ordered additional displays to bring the total to 185. DFS has made use of the auto sensing feature which is built into the eg-electronic FD2K-2824-C display unit. The inputs are able to auto sense for active signals at either of the Dual Link DVI inputs or the SONY DDM compatible analogue input. This functionality allows The DFS to introduce system redundancy without the addition of external video switches. Each display is driven by two computer platforms and if one computer video output fails then the eg-electronic FD2K-2824-C is able to switch to the alternative “back-up” channel. We understand that The DFS has also chosen to use PCI Dual Link DVI graphics cards from more than one manufacturer. The eg-electronic FD2K-2824-C has two standard Dual Link DVI digital inputs which The DFS has tested with PCI Dual Link DVI graphics cards from several vendors including Matrox, NVidia and Barco. The DFS is also using Tech Source Raptor 2000 series of analogue PCI graphics cards. DFS reference letter >> |

ALES, s.r.oALES, s.r.o has ordered eg-electronic FD2K-2824 2k x 2k main ATC displays as it continues the deployment of this display technology at the new Integrated Air Traffic Control Centre (IATCC) in Prague.
IATCC is the largest investment venture in the Air Traffic Services history of the Czech Republic. At the same time, this is the first project involving the harmonisation of the civil and military parts of the air traffic services. The project objective is to enhance the ATS provision quality as well as to improve further the air traffic safety at a time when the interest in use of the Czech Republic airspace is growing rapidly. |
